I visited your fair city back in 1988. Nice to see it after all these years. I loved getting around on the trams. It was like a trip back to the days of elegance in travel. Lovely classic architecture.

I love those colored fountains and the panoramic shot is wonderful. Many wonderfully detailed night shots. I wonder - was that last one taken near where the ferry sails for Tasmania? I took that trip which was an overnight trip each way then but I heard they were going to change to a hydrofoil or something like that so it could be a day trip and save the cost of a cabin.

These pics are taken off Southbank. Where the casino is. The flames in pic 1 are part of the casino. These flames go off on weekends every hour on the hour for people to see.There is a boardwalk type arrangement outside the casino where people go at nights. There are various water fountains and lights located there which is where these lights come from. The river is called the Yarra River which flows through and around the city to the Docklands where the ships come in to dock and then to Port Phillip Bay and then out to the sea. As you can see only small boats and flat top ferry boats can make it up this far up the river as the old bridges are pretty low, even on low tides.
