Flash Compatibility ?

I just received by mistake a Targus Digital Flash for my Canon EOS Rebel XT Camera. The Targus flash is listed for Nikon Digital TTL, or iTTL Cameras. Is there any way that this Targus / Nikon Flas will work with my Canon Canera? Please respond and let me know if it will work.

At best, it may work in manual mode. It's not compatible with the flash metering system of Canon cameras.

First of all, welcome.
If the mistake is by the shipper, you should return it and exchange for a canon model.
If the mistake is by yourself, you can call the vendor and find out what they would do.
