I think that's what my credit card is saying after today! Ordered myself a Sto-Fen Omnibounce for my 580EX last night, then today a few cheques cleared so I wandered down to my local camera shop and came out with a Lowepro Magnum AW, a second 580EX, some batteries....oh and a 1D MkII! Can't wait to give it a run this afternoon, see how it fairs!
Hopefully won't have the dreaded Error 99!

Seems more likely that your credit card company will print 'Error 99' on your statement
Have fun with your new toys :D
Best regards,
Andy

Pete, you're gonna need to change your name to Complete Pete now. What did you sell to afford all of those toys?? :) Show us some of your pics once you get going! Congrats by the way!

I've always maintained that a 1D MkII is the perfect accessory for a Sto-Fen omnibounce. There's no sense buying a top-of-the-line flash diffuser and then skimp on the camera.
Good job.

Fortunately I won't be in the dog house with the missus because she'll be able to play with my 1D when it isn't being used! Fortunately I had some savings so I cashed 'em in because I've come to the point that in terms of file size I've outgrown the 1D, also having a second body is so advantageous, no longer hurridly swapping lenses at sports events and gigs!
Took it out for a portrait shoot as soon as I got it yesterday, performance was awesome! The ETTL-2 worked like a treat with my 580EX and the picture quality is awesome. One thing that surprised me was the file size, I seem to be able to fit MORE pictures on my card with the MkII than I could with the MkI!
Will post some interesting photos later, I doubt you wanna see a simple shot of some students standing...lol

First "proper" shot with the 1D MkII, no chance to shoot sports with it yet though.

Canon loves us and they love this forum. They're like Toys R us, and we're like kids. With credit cards. :D

LOL!
That is exactly how I ended up with a 20D!
Once I played with one at the store, I knew I was screwed as I had to have one!
I have nothing but respect and joy for my 'Camy'

A buy like that would give my credit card double hernia. Its hard enough to convince the little lady that I need a 20d let alone a 1D MKII. Envy!!!

lol, fortunately I seem to blend in with 15,000 other students in the town! Then again, walking along with two 1Ds slung over my shoulders with an expanse of L glass hanging off them tends to make me stand out!

I would say you need a new screen name. You are now far from "incomplete." Enjoy the new equipment.
