Buddy of mine recently got new wheels and coilovers for his R32. So he called his lady friend and we went to Watson Island just off Downtown Miami to shoot some pics. This was also a test shoot for a possible future ISSForged.com shoot so there may be shots that look very similar to these with a different car soon. I know some of the images aren't technically perfect yet, some need work in the reflections and touch ups here and there. But the owner of the R32 is a graphic artist for our TV Network so I'll leave that kind of stuff to the pro hehe...
This was also my first time ever shooting a "Model" which was..... interesting.....
Let me know what you guys think

I think #2 is the best of the bunch. Good light & the reflections aren't all that bad. Notice that you only moved a bit to the right & improved the reflections in the side? You must have read MOVE YOUR FEET! (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=536323) :D
If she kept her hand on the roof & stood a bit farther away, it would reduce her reflection in the hood.
And if you took two shots at different exposures, you could blend some better tones in the side.

Trust me, I know to "move my feet" and these where the best reflections possible that location. The ones that were really problems was the set that came out of the location in #5 where there were people standing just off to the right of the car and you can see them in the door. Again they are to be cloned out, otherwise I have no problems with the reflections in any of the other shots.
Thanx!

I like both #1 and #2.
I think the model did a good job and seems natural. I think the risk with shooting a car and a model is that in some shots you may get the car spot on (as far as angle and lighting), but the model's expression and body language my ruin the shot.

Again they are to be cloned out, I would have asked them to move their feet out of the way? You're supposed to be in charge of your shoot & cloning should be the very last resort.

Sorry but in a public place where I have no permit or authority over people legally enjoying themselves I'm not going to force people to move especially when they were fishing and were setup themselves.
I let the owner of the car know the reflections would be there and he said he would clean them up in post so that's why I proceeded with the photo at that position.
I was in charge of people who I had influence over. If this was a large elaborate expensive shoot where I had full authority over the location you bet I would have made everybody and anybody move as needed.

I should have just replaced #5 with this shot, but I was limited to 8 embeds on the original post:
