It was nice of the Ref to take time off of his busy WWF schedule to mediate this match... :) Good shot... how'd the nephew do?
THATS WHAT I WAS THINKING!
Wu, I did it...that was pretty easy...

Well, I'm not normally a "chatter" (though I'm sure someone will make a comment on that) but I'm checking this out...now. I'll pm you if it works   (then you can empty the pm out of your box and say you "HAD" to empty it!)
LS, I've never used skype either...I hate it that these chat formats aren't interchangeable...so that one could use yahoo or aol or mac or....whatever w/o downloading every other one.
That's the annoying part. I don't particularly like the other formats.. me and my crew stick to what we know and use best. We tend to rely on Skype for its PSTN interoperability (public switched telephone network.. in other words: plain ole phones with numbers, since we can call them from our computers).

I tried wrestling once. Discovered that the tried and true tactic of "I'll sit on you" didn't really work so well as it did in the sixth grade.

Too quiet. Any 70-200 f/4 classic non-IS owners in da house? (I know we have some but they may be at work)
Need to send you folks on an assignment to find out whether the lens has a plastic barrel. Use a fingernail and tap the part of the lens where the tripod collar would be (the depression near the base), let us know if it is plastic.

Ooo, fingernail tapping. I like that idea so much better than my "stick in the microwave for thirty minutes and see what happens" idea.

well as you know yesterday I got my camera back. which is good. Today I did some test to compare between the before and after tests. Got to make sure that canon does fix things :) (the before shot is the bottom off colour part of the picture)
the first results is the sigma 100-300 f4. no post processing done at all on these images. they are straght out the camera.
http://www.cuthbert.net.nz/potn/sigmatest.jpg
and now the canon 100macro
http://www.cuthbert.net.nz/potn/canontest.jpg
as you can see quite some difference. One can also see that the canon is sharper, but thats no supprise really. the 100macro is a very sharp lens.

the test matches are kinda boring. the best ones to watch are the one dayers. however playing the game is kinda boring unless you are bolling or behind the bat, or close to the pitch. I used to play it alot when I was at school but I don't think I could handle the boredom of playing it.
as for rugby, I hate the game. I only like it when my country wins and that's only because like to see NZ winning :)

I played rugby a couple of times in a city league. It was like playing American football without the rules and without the pads. I've been in street fights that were more polite! That's one tough sport. I think I'll attempt the calmer boring sport of cricket and keep my bones in one piece.... :)

I'd be happy to get 5%. We've only gotten 3% per year since I signed on nearly four years ago, and the insurance rates keep increasing. I'd sure like to see a net increase for a change. My "raise" is absorbed each year when the cost of insurance goes up.
I got my tree decorated the other night with Wyatt's help, and now I have to do it all over again. This is the reason why:

Teddy and his sister, Mischief, have almost completely denuded the tree already, breaking several ornaments in the process.

No, this is Teddy. And he's in BIG trouble. Note how he's cradling that ornament in his paws. He managed to pull off all the ones from the lower branches. He's too large (approx. 12-15 pounds) to get to the top of the tree without knocking it over. And he's only 8 months old!

I am having a serious pity party. I want everybody else to feel sorry for me.. it's only fair.. I can't go home for Christmas.. not at all. I hate my boss really truly hate her.. I'm scheduled from Christmas eve twelve oclock to midnight and christmas day six in the morning until two in the afternoon.. So, there goes my holiday.. I'm depressed. No nieces and nephews taking pictures of my uncle dressed up like Santa no seeing my favorite cousin from seattle or going to the movies on christmas day.. No cinamon rolls opening presents on Christmas morning or Turkey... I have also decided that my habit of not keeping any liquor in my apartment is over-rated.. and I think it's going to take some Grey Goose to get me through this holiday..
okay, rant almost over but i'm sure i'll come up with more stuff later..

no. Everyone does new Years.. No exceptions at all.. the only other bartender that does my shifts has already made it clear that he won't be helping me out.. besides it's christmas every man for himself on the holidays... I have more complaints..
I am out of icecream. It was an issue yesterday but tonight it's a major trauma..
I put my peanutbutter in the fridge.. (what was I thinking)..
The documentary on South Africa that I ordered from Netflix is in Danish (without subtitles)..
And my sister is on some kind of mission to 'mend bridges' between my mother and I   .. So, if I were smart I'd skip going to see her on Sunday and just stay home but dangit!! it's been three years and I want to see my sister... I am really having a crappy day..

Being a nurse, I have worked more holidays than not and have had to have creative Christmases with my kids. Last year I got a phone call at 300 p.m. that I had to go in to work that evening. We had scheduled our dinner for 5:00 and gift opening afterwards. I missed the whole celebration.

no. Meg leaves christmas eve to spend Christmas with our dad and her husband My cousin Brenda (who I adore) leaves the day after Christmas to go back to Seattle so even if I were to get other days off it wouldn't matter.. I'd still have missed seeing my family and celebrating with the babies... I want the end result to be a peanutbutter and blackberry jam sandwich on wheat bread.. But, instead of putting the two pieces of bread together you fold them each in half and cut the crust off.. Ofcourse this plan calls for the jam being cold and the peanutbutter being room temperature which it isn't because I put it in the dang fridge last night...
