Very nicely done Rich - thanks for sharing.

You did a great job of pulling out a lot of shadow detail and the cottage itself has a very pleasant painterly effect to it. Love the shadowed effect under the gables there. The dark blue area of the sky is a bit too strong for my tastes simply because it doesn't quite match the tonality of the rest of the sky/clouds. By any chance did you us a CPL or just burn it in? But that's a minor issue; nice lush foliage too.

I like everything about it except the sky upper right. I'd try to tone that down a bit.

That sky did bother me a bit and looking at it more now, I think I will tone it down a bit.

No CPL's used, or other filters used. Just a bit of mucking around in PS.

Here's another image of that cottage (non HDR). No adjustments have been made (besides a bit of white balancing). I might turn this into an HDR as well.
