One of the things I'm planning to get is a new tripod. Already looking at Really Right Stuff for the head, just don't know which one.

So what's a versatile head/tripod setup (used for shots ranging from landscapes to macro's).

Don't want to spend too much on this.

If you are looking at a RRS head you are already looking as spending some money. I have the BH-55 and love it.

Question to ask yourself is how much weight do you plan on putting on the head and legs, now and in the future. Once you know that you can decide exactly what you need. My rule is something that will support twice the weight that I am going to put on it.

There are a ton of factors to consider when picking out a tripod. There's a sticky in this forum that has some excellent information. You can also get to it by clicking here (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=53864).
