I know several people here shoot Little League tournaments, so I need some help from you. I'm shooting a golf tournament this weekend BY MYSELF. It is a parent child tournament immediately followed by a banquet. They have asked me to take pics of the kids playing.

Here's my problem: I am only one person. I was originally told that I would have about an hour or so after everyone had played to print pictures and what not. Not the case. I oculd take the pictures, load them onto a laptop and print as needed, but with the banquet being an ice cream social, I think i am going to lose sales by not having them already printed.

My thought was to buy some sort of "generator" strong enough to power the printer on the gold course and print them as I take the pics. By doing this, I don't run into any problems with people getting impatient waiting for pics. The generator can not run off of current as I don't have anywhere to plug it in.

Can any of you help me with some ideas? Tournament is 3.5 hours long.

Here's what I do for golf tournaments. I contact the closest costco and make arrangements to come and have the pics done never takes more than a half hour to do a few hundred pictures. I usually have a second with me so its not a big deal, you may have to make other arrangements. Also Costco is cheaper and quicker than doing it yourself and they use top notch pro equipment.

Course is out in the country. It would take me 30 mins to drive somewhere, 30 back and a 30 min wait. In this case, the banquet would be over.

I think I'm just going to print as they want them and people will just have to wait. Not really what I want to do, but all I can come up with without a second.

You could also set up a viewing station take orders and mail them. Makes them a little more expensive but you can give better quality prints. You could also set up a gallery for them to order online with a site that prints and ships them you never see the pics.

I use Exposure Manager, great prints, very flexible, fantastic customer service and a big range of products including mag covers and trading cards. Here is a referral link that will give you a free trial and discount if you sign up.

Run a slideshow at the banquet and take orders. Explain that "lab quality" is superior to printing on site. It also alows you time to be able to crop the photo for the best composition and for any editing you may need to do.

I agree with Dennis. You cannot beat Exposure Manager.

I guess I should have said lab quality (of course depends on the lab) is usually better than print on site. Most people printing on site are not using high end printers also the environment is not usually ideal for printing. And taking the time to properly print something is not cost effective at a large event.

I have the website but I haven't had great success with "Here's my card with website. Visit and order". I think I'm going to do the order form. I have a laptop I can use to present them so that seems to be the best effort.

Thanks for the ideas.
