Just one shot to see how it performs, during the weekend I'll give it a more in depth try but for the little I've seen this thing is just great !!!!!

lil overexposed, but really cool angle..

try a PS curve with two points 1@ 118-in|68-out... 2@ 190-in | 168-out

I was much more interested in the angle, but you are right, it is actually a little overxposed. But it was just a test shot. Boy, if I love the DOF of a really wide angle :D

what does that mean?

wow thanks for the screen shot....yeah i figured that out after i posted...i tried the pencil but then i realized that i was being dumb...was it just trial and error to figure out what looked good?

will. if you are in the curves adjustment and you ctrl + click on your image, it will put a point exactly on the level of that sample.. I just sampled the blue sky and brought it down a tad bit.. then i guessed the area of highlights that was suffering and bumped it manually

Thanks for the pic, the angle is great. I have been thinking about this lens as my next one. It is either going to be the 10-22, 16-35, or the 17-40. I am leaning towards the 16-35 and the 17-40 because they are not EF-S lenses.

Kawter, thanks for the PS tip I like to learn new stuff! :D

True, it won't fit full frame sensors. But boy, how much I love wideangles... this is why I went with the 10-22. Having an XT, gives me a real 16mm. Consider that when I used film SLRs I went out for vacation with only a 18mm... :)

The 16-35 is interesting but with a 1.6 sensor gives me only about 25. I like wider stuff. Plus, I must say that even not having tried it extensively from an optical point of view (today I only took 5 shots, and just because I was in that square, I need some more time) I really like the way this lens is built.

Kawter, thank for the tip, I used to get the color in hex or dec and see where it fitted in the curve. This way is much easier :D :D
