Hey guys,

I am going to submit two photos for consideration for the Kelby Worldwide Photowalk for Coney Island, Brooklyn, NY. I have four candidates and need help selecting two. I'd love to get some opinions. Thanks, everyone!

#2 and #3. I need to go back to Coney Island during the week when no one is there.

I'm no professional. Just a beginner.

From that perspective, I like the 3rd and 4th pictures the best.

I like the first Ring of Fire photo, but am not crazy about the weeds growing on the ground and under the trailer.

The second Ring of Fire is a bit ominous, and less to my liking, but might be what you're trying to accomplish.

By the way, I've been on that Ring of Fire ride, and it's a bit intimidating.

On second look, Ring of Fire 2 is better because it has more colors and you can see the tower in the background. I still don't like the weeds, but that might add to its attractiveness, depending on what mood you're seeking.

I do wish the Ring of Fire sign was lit up. Any chance you can get a picture of the sign at night and put it into the mix? Maybe a light off that tower as well? What about the ride itself? Does it have a light?

It might be cool to give each passenger a glow necklace or something.

@playdoh - Thanks. Yeah, best to probably return back in the fall. The place was absolute pandemonium that day. I think I will head back around October... that place is a goldmine.

@MikeFairbanks - Hey, you took the time to provide a critique and that is truly appreciated, regardless of whether you are a beginner or a pro. In terms of the weeds, yeah, I ended up sneaking around the back of that ride because it was impossible to shoot it from the front with all of the people walking around. I kinda like the different perspective that it affords. I definitely went for a 'moodier' Ring of Fire look with the second shot but I can easily cheer it up with some more saturation and luminance in the sky.

Right now, I am leaning with #2 and #4, but I'd love to see what others say, as well.
