Taken on Tortola, BVI. The caribbean is the best place for wonderful color. Just minor adjustments in PSE 3.0
Dreb with 18-55 kit @ 24mm
1/160
f/8
iso 200
What would make it a better shot?
thanx

besides it was in the afternoon(harsh shadow), I like the color. I can pretty much predict alot of critics.
Some will say if it was lined up squarely it will be much better.
some will say what does the branches add to the picture?
But I think the most important question is....what are you trying to convey your picture to the viewer?

I left the branches in to draw the eyes to the center
The thought behind the shot was that this is what the caribbean is really like with the shutters not matching, a "fix it later" attitude. These shutters have been like this for two years that I know of. Hope that helps and thanx for your input.

I like it. It might have been better with a pair of eyes, maybe a childs, looking out to add some interest besides the nice colors. Or maybe a wider shot with a person's shadow on the wall. Or maybe... ;-)

I'm with PhotosGuy.
I think he hits the nail on the head with his suggestion.
