Like everyone else around these parts, I have thoroughly enjoyed Duane N's wonderful shots of the Norfolk Botanical Gardens eagles throughout this entire eagle season. Duane was kind enough to show me the best location to see and photograph the eagles when I stopped by on my way home from North Carolina in May, and I will always remember the joy and awe of seeing these magnificent birds in the wild for the first time.

During that outing, Duane mentioned he was going to do a picture book of this year's eagles, and I have been watching with great anticipation for Duane's announcement that the book was done. Finally, he posted a message (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=725193) that the season -- and the book -- were done. I ordered my copy immediately.

It came in yesterday and I had a good chance to review it today. Start to finish, the images are -- as we've seen here -- just plain gorgeous. From the eagles' arrival at NBC at the beginning of the breeding season, to nest building, to mating, to the chicks' arrival, their growth, the banding, and more, it's all there in gorgeous color.

If you love eagles, or know someone who does, this book is one you shouldn't miss. It's not cheap, but it's worth it.

Well done, Duane!!

(Well, there is that one little typo, but...)
