Where to meet other Photogs online

Hello All-Im interested in meeting other photographers that have an presence online, not just in forums I mean. Forums are fine and all, but just seem a bit disconnected. Ive looked for chat rooms and such, but IVe really had no luck... any one have any advice?

(PS: I dont have the opportunity to do this in person because I live ina remote area for now)

I can't see any way to be truly connected to anyone through a computer. It's always going to feel a bit "disconnected." You'll have to join an actual photography club or professional organization or something where you meet in person

Kinda like cybersex and real sex. Cyber gets the job done but it just doesn't compare to the real thing.

Great analogy and I agree totally. I've only ran across one photography chat and it sucked. It sucked because EVERYONE in there knew EVERYTHING about photography, and anyone that disagreed was wrong....typical chatroom banter.

Take a look at Flickr (http://www.flickr.com). It's a massive community of many talented and social-minded photographers.
