OMG!!!
We can make things with the machinery we can make to make things?
And the food is FREE? All we have to do is pay the farmers, and pay for the land, etc, but we shouldn't have to pay for the land?
I cant believe they even let her ramble on like that for that length of time.

I cant believe they even let her ramble on like that for that length of time. :confused:Back in the Dark Ages, before there was the Internet, I was a newspaper reporter and covered lots of council (and board) meetings where this sort of thing went on. One regular always talked -- at length -- about the birds on the telephone wires, as if the Town Council could do something about them. It's pretty SOP for local councils to have public comment sessions and, especially at the full moon, the comments can be pretty amazing.

She's in Santa Cruz......She's probably stoned. It's a popular passtime there.
The 'free land' and agriculture concept is not unusual. A lot of people in that area grow marijuana on government land in the Santa Cruz Mountains.
Hey. Why not?

I have also heard that pot is California's largest cash crop. They need to hurry up with a feasible plan on how to tax it. Might pull them out of Bankruptcy?
Hey. Why not?
My first thought is because it's illegal? OTOH, This "is" California we're talking about.

Didn't the Obama Admin. just come out with the statement that pot has NO medicinal affects?
LOL, tell that to my pot smoking cancer patients. That is ALL they use and pass on the Percocet, Morphine and Oxycontin.

Oakland and Los Angeles are both considering a tax on medical marijuana. That, along with a huge increase in the sale of Lucky Charms and Ben & Jerry's ice cream, should stimulate the economy nicely!
The argument about whether or not there are medical benefits is strictly political as anybody with chronic pain can attest.
