Maybe I'm an idiot, but I still can't figure it out. I think I'm just gonna cut the thing off.

it helps stabilize tha bag. i hate those things too.

you need to move the staballise off the shoulder strap (so the velcro is not on it) move it down so it can kinda of slide. then extend the strap as long as it goes and hopeflully you can clip it on under your arm. but its only usefull if your bag is really heavy.
