Borrowed the 300 2.8 IS from a friend... boy this thing is fun.

The second one does not do much for me but the first one is outstanding. Great light, composition and background. Nice work.

Thanks guys... unfortunately the weather didn't co-operate much this past weekend so there were many rain delays... and I did not get to see Mike Weir due to my limited time I had to shoot at the open.

That first one, honestly, is as good a photo as I can ever remember seeing in a Sports Illustrated spread covering golf. Granted, I don't pay too much attention to the sport....but these shots are good enough to even make this soccer and hockey fan take notice! :D :D

Great first shot. A couple of questions, were these taken during the practice round? If not, did you have a press pass? How did you get around the no photos during play rule? I'm asking cuz I live close to Pebble Beach and watch alot of tourneys there.

Nope these were taken during tournament play. I freelance for a bunch of newspaper and I had a press pass :)
