What are you using and is it also a walking stick combo?
Thanks.

Manfrotto 680B & 234RC and I try not to use it too much as a walking stick because the springs of the flip locks can be displaced a little, so I'd have to push the springs up after I use it as one.

Manfrotto 680B, planning to get a RRS quick release system...
Any recommendations? I need something to switch from landscape to portrait and would prefer quality, so I'm confident in RRS.

I use a Manfrotto 680B monopod topped off with a Manfrotto 486RC2 ball head (for position versatility that a 234RC cannot provide).

Gitzo GM2541 + RRS MH-01.
No desire to use it as a walking stick (a crutch if necessary though :-)

I used the Manfrotto 234 for several years and always found it inadequate, especially with long lenses. The MH-01, that I bought about six months ago is just in a different league; expensive, but you do get what you paid for.
