Well, almost two years after joining to forum, with my Powershot G3, and now slightly poorer finacially for the experience, I have hit 1000 posts.

Not like some of you newer guys who are up there after a couple of months! That must be hard work! Long way to go to get to the likes of CDS though!

My current camera's combined frame counts since I joined have it that I shoot 25 shots to every one post!

I am fortunate enough not to have reset my counters on my G3 or 20D, since I joined initially to help decide to buy the G3 or G5, I just take the sum of both cameras file counters which is around 25,000 images. Took me three years to hit 10K on my first digicam, lost count of how many rolls of film before that, it would be in the 100 (the film guides in my EOS50 were polished to a nice high shine!).

Did you keep a record of how many you shot on your 300D before moving it along?

You guys KevC and mrclark321 look like you are well on you ways to 1000 as well, and only been member since this year too :eek: Tim is the undisputed king of that though, Goldmember in less than six months!

Congrats Pete! As of the munchkins softball game last weekend I just hit 7,529 on the DRebel.

Looks like I'm being asked to shoot H.S. football again this fall, so I should easily make over 10k on the camera this year. I'd like to upgrade to the 20D but have my sights set on ordering a 70-200 2.8 L next month!

18 months with my Drebel and I hit 6500 shots. I would never have shot anything close to that with film. I'm still loving the fact that I can try some dumb shots that probably don't work but often give good results. Basically the stuff I would never have tried if I had to pay for the film and developing.

Nope, I used a CF card from my A70, so I lost my sequence numbers. I could probably work out how many shots i've taken with the camera, but it'd take a long time and I don't really care... when the shutter wears out i'll just ditch it and buy a 40D ;)

I actually paid more for the G3 than a G5, mainly due to the fact the G3 produced lower noise images, and was faster.
