First post city centre during day, critique thanks!

I am a university student and have recently started photography as a hobby. When i went home to Palmerston Nort during the break, I took some photos in the city square. I shot in RAW with some PP in lightroom. Please feel free to comment and critique as i have a lot to learn still. Thanks!

The shadow on the arm of your father, and then the shoulder of your mother is a little distracting. A little flash action could clear that up.
