Can anyone help. I remember reading an official post on the net by a flash card manufacturer of the risk of damaging a CF card if you run your camera battery flat. Since I had a mysterious failure of my Sandisk Ultra 512MB some time ago (and was replaced under warranty) I now wonder whether this was the reason. The card frequently gave and error when saving images (reformatting did not help). I cannot find anything on the Sandisk site about this issue nor others. Does anyone know where I might find more info on this. Thanks. JET, New Zealand.

If power dies while saving/transferring a file you will end up with a corrupted image. However, being solid state CF Cards do not need power to maintain their memory. Low battery power would not be an issue.
