I need a new computer to handle photos and Lightroom; my five year old 1024x768 screen laptop just isn't doing it. I saw the Dell Studio One 19 at Sam's Club for $847. It's got:

IntelŪ PentiumŪ Dual Core Processor E5200 (2MB L2, 2.5GHz, 800FSB)
4 GB Memory
1366x768 Monitor
nVidia GeForce 9400 Integrated Graphics
Vista Home Premium
320 GB HD

Anyone have an opinion on that setup? I'm not a game player at all, so other the only thing I'd do with it is photos and maintaining my website, word processing, etc.

The all-in-one style really works for me because of limited space on a small desk.

Not worth it for photo. If you are looking for small space, check out the studio slim line and just place the tower behind your monitor or on the floor, there's no reason to put the tower on the desk at all really, and almost all towers I've had lived exclusively on the floor (newest one isn't because my other tower is below and I don't want to have two 130W cpus blowing hot air in the same place). It'll be cheaper and better specs to.

Sadly, the all in one market has never really gone off, and the only reason why Apple even sells them (rather, why people buy them from apple) is because Apple doesn't sell towers for a reasonable price (2500+ for a tower is outside most budgets, regardless of how good it is), so Apple focuses a lot on all-in-one development. Dell, on the other hand, does sell reasonably priced towers, so people buy those instead of the all-in-ones. As a result, the all-in-one machines tend to not be as sturdy as the tower counterparts, and I haven't heard of anyone still using their XPS One from when it came out. If you want it to last you any reasonable time, go for a small tower. If you want an all in one, this is one of those few times you'll actually hear me say that getting an iMac and installing windows on it is a good idea.

Thanks for the advice. I may go with that Studio Slim or a similar HP slimline.
