New XT pics

Well, I broke down and bought a new Rebel XT this last week. I've been playing around and thought I'd post a couple of pics to show off. Actually I'm having a hard time getting any sharp pics, either with the kit lens or the 70-200 F4. Anyway, here they are :) .

Congra on your new purchase! I'm sure you will love it, as I do love mine...In the 2nd shot, the leaf is in good focus and sharpness...I can't really tell if the flower is in focus from this resized picture. You might want to try center focus setting and see if that helps.

Thanks guys, I do love it so far. I've had it for about 5 days now and love picking it up and taking pics. My daughter hates being photographed and now hides when she sees me with it..lol.


Actually yes, none of these seem too bad. When looking at unprocessed 100% crops everything looks soft, but it may just be me.

Here is one more I caught the first time I turned on the camera.
