Our local rodeo came around the other day and I decided to go out and see what kind of pictures I could come up with. Lighting was extremely tough 2 lights on the arena and about 9pm-1030pm lighting. Shot with a 300mm f4 IS and 135L.

Pictures were a little bit on the noisy side but then again at iso 6400 what can you expect.

Not too bad for the high ISO.

For the crappy lighting conditions you speak of, that first shot is top notch!!

Awesome shots!
The PBR is coming to my town in a few weeks. If you could give more info on the settings for the first and last pic I'd be grateful.

Well for me I was shooting anywhere between 3200iso and 6400iso, early in the night i was using my 300 f4 IS then switched to the 200 2.8 then finally to the 135 F2. I shot with all focus points active in ai servo. I also used AV mode for most of the evening, trying my best to keep shutter speeds above 1/320th but that was nearly impossible.
