I'm getting mine on Monday :) I can't wait! I read such good reviews that I just had to order one without having ever gotten my hands on one. I couldn't resist the urge so I went to BestBuy to finally see one up close last night. I wasn't dissapointed at all. The only thing that I will miss from my Canon EOS Elan 7e (EOS 30) is the EyeControl.

I decided to go outside & play around with the shutter speeds & ISO settings. Remember, I'm new to all of this SLR stuff. HAHAHA I took these from the stairwell in my apartment community. I liked this one the best.

Congrats on your new XT bigchef!! I like your photos. The flower shot is especially nice! Be careful though...hanging around this forum usually results in your bank account balance going down at some point. There are so many lenses that will fit your XT that sooner or later, you're going to want something new and different from the kit lens. And don't forget external lights, converters, extenders, and lots more. You've been duly warned! :)

Thanx. Right now I am still in the development stage of SLR photography. So much to learn. I am using the kit lens, EFS 18-55mm. Seems to be doing a pretty good job. Here is one that I took last night at work. This is my version of the Caesar Salad.

wow chef... getting good with that camera huh? i love mine i just finished up setting up my photoshop cs2 so i could use the raw files again. Im not a big fan of the raw image software in zoom browser. I am used to the PS raw workings.
