Aged mother and child

We used to live in Africa and this statue of mother and child is one of the things we brought back to England with us. There is something about the look in her eyes that I find captivating.

I like this pic, especially the selective DOF. I am not really captivated ny her eyes but rather by the texture of the sculpture. Is it Yoruban?

Anyway, I think this pic is better situated at the still life section. The pictures that garner the most comments here seem to those of children and women. No that that's bad, just the way it is I guess.

I think I would have liked to see a little more dof to bring the child out against the background. Other than that, I like it.
