Hello I have been looking online at peoples Photo Blogs and am very intrested in creating one. I know nothing of web design and am to busy to learn.

Does anyone like using PBase, or are there any other sites worth looking at that I may upload to and make life easier.

Im a .MAC member but am not happy with the template layout etc. and limit on picture size.

Any info or feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Actually, if you have web space that holds your photo’s already any internet blog site such as Live Journal (www.livejournal.com) (Which I use.) or Blogger (www.blogger.com), will work both of which are widely used.

If you don’t already have an image hosting space someone posted something at Image]Image Shack ( http://blog.imageshack.us/content.php?page=photoblog) and I noticed they have a new Photoblog feature, I don't know how it works but I thought I'd mention that I saw it.

Most of the blog sites are fairly easy to use with web entry methods. Live Journal even has several "Word" type add in programs that let you type out your entry, it does all of the complex html stuff for you, allowing you to just type your entry and hit the Post Entry button. I would assume that the others are pretty much the same way.

Hope this helps!

Look no farther for a gallery generator . Pekka the Admin of this board has created EE. It is by far one of the most powerful applications out there.

The Exhibit Engine is a PHP/MySQL application for smooth and versatile online photograph display. It's especially designed to give detailed technical info on each photo, with text descriptions and gear info, but all that technical data is not required.

Look here http://photography-on-the.net/ee/

and in the EE part of this forum for more info and customization.

I use it look at my site below

Hi EricKonieczny,

I have no idea what an EE means, even after reading the link you provided. What I'd like to know is can we use what Pekka made, meaning can we upload our pics there like in pbase and others.

EE is for use with hosting your own site yes?

The original poster has also stated that he has no HTML or web experience and said he would not be gaining any in the near future so I think managing PHP/MYSQL code might be a steep learning curve for him that he could avoid.

No, it looks like EE is a tool that will make a page to show galleries or pictures hosted in some type of web space. You still need to have web server space either it be your own, purchased, or I would assume linked from other web hosts for it to display your pictures.

There is no need to know PHP/MYSQL or HTML to use EE. You can certainly customize EE and a Blog site with coding but the basic EE package is very user friendly and has backend admin where you upload pictures to just like pbase or other gallery generators.

If you look in the EE forum, you will see many people have set it up, without being a computer geek like me.

I am hosting my website through http://www.midphase.com/ and bought the $7.95 month 2 year package deal
