The Gutter Twins at The Athenaum Theatre

On Friday night I had the opportunity to shoot a couple of legends of the underground music scene, Mark Lanegan and Greg Dulli, teamed up as The Gutter Twins. They played an acoustic set with the addition of a guitarist who has collaborated with them in the past in The Twilight Singers.

It was a theatre setting and I was only able to shoot from the side aisles and there was a fair bit of clutter from mic/music stands. But overall I'm reasonably happy with the results. you caught a bit of actual emotion from Lanegan...usually he's like a statue. 1st shot would be improved had you raised yr camera enough to clear the mike boom from his face.
