Holy Cow! A few ?'s Were you on field or photo pit? The shooting angle (while perfect) seems a little low for regular seats. I have tried getting a outfielder catching the ball, and my old rebel xt just does not fire enough shots in a second to capture it. Hopefully my new 40D will be able to get stuff like you captured.

Those are great shots. The 400mm 2.8 does nice work. I shot a local game a few weeks back and even at iso 1600 my little 200mm 5.6 did not do well. I could not get a fast enough shutter speed. I did get some decent shots of a few batters mid swing but the bat and arms blurred a bit. Not too bad but nothing like yours.
