All this talk about the 70-200mm f4 made me go out and buy it. I filled up my credit card but I don't regret a bit. What a lens, it's great.

Pretty amazing for 100% crops. I bet you appreciate the battery grip more with that lens.

That's cool DLeblanc! Congrats! Great photos--and sharp as a tack. I just found out that UPS tried to deliver my copy of the lens and no one was home so I didn't get it!! Dang! It came a day earlier than I thought it would. So I may go pick it up at UPS tonight or just wait until tomorrow. Your photos make me excited to try it out. Thanks for posting.

Yes I used a monopod for some of the shots I took, it helps a lot when your not that steady to begin with. The second squirrel shot was at 200mm 1/160 at f4 with the monopod and the first squirrel shot was at 200mm 1/200 f4 no monopod.

Those are great, good job, I have that lens on order hope it will be here on Friday. Cant wait to give it a work out, hope my shots turn out half as good.
