Hi, I'm new to this forum and don't have much technical knowledge. I'm currently at a conference and don't have my manual. I can't get the LCD screen to display any images. The screen seems to be OK as I can see the menu when I select the icon just above the little movie projector on the selector dial. However when I push menu, set or the the arrow keys all I get is a "beep." Any suggestions or help is appreciated as I'm going to meet some distant cousins I've never seen in about an hour and would like to show them some pictures I have on my memory card.

Can't answer your screen problem, but can you not connect your camera to the pc you are using, or via a card reader? That would allow you to view the shots on screen at least.

Hi, Assuming the controls are the same as on the G-5, The little switch on top that you pushed to turn the camera on? Push it the opposite direction towards the little green arrow icon. ;)

I didn't bring the cable needed to connect to the TV. Probably wouldn't work on the hotel set anyway. Ballen Photo, I pushed the on/off button to the right and that didn't do any good, I still only get "beeps" when I push menu, etc. Thanks for the replies, any other suggestions? Cousins are supposed to be here in 10 minutes

WOW! Sorry, that was the only thing I could think of. It almost sounds like some type of error by the sounds of what you say. Hmm, Maybe try pulling the battery out for a minute or two, then try again? Anybody else?

Hmmm.... on the On/Off switch, there is a mode lever. turn the lever towards the left - this should turn the light green. if it does, you should be able to view the pictures on the card.

I think am_pitbull_terrier is right. The battery symbol in the display panel on top of the camera should appear black in both halfs. If only the right side is black and "lb" is under the battery symbol, your battery is too low to power the screen.

...and allways have the option of reseting the camera...good luck.
