Is my obsession with hares... strange?

Look at my photostream (http://www.flickr.com/photos/ericandersson/). Notice that hares are what most of my pictures are of. I bought a 200mm f/2.8L II just to take pictures of them. (Plus it was a good deal at $400 CAD) I follow them around the neighbourhood and don't give a second thought to crawling on the ground in my attempts to get as close as possible. I've boiled it down to a science. (Rebel series are too high-pitched, 1-Series can't be heard, I think. Sigma OS and focusing units are too loud.) I look down upon people who can't comprehend the difference between rabbits and hares. On a different forum I have an entire thread about hares. (This is a forum about construction and urbanism.) It's three pages long. I want to buy a pet rabbit to try and lure the hares even closer. My only distinct life goal is to touch and/or pet a hare.

Should I seek therapy? :lol:

You have a Hare fetish my friend (so the wife has said) what you can do about it I don't know the only thing is try shooting something else like Cat's, Dog's etc, it might help.

If it get's really bad and I mean BAD get a gun and shoot one, Pet it, Stroke it, Skin it, Cook it and eat it. :)

No, I much prefer having them alive. They do more stuff that way. Although I do like guns.

Edit: Petting and stroking a dead hare is something I probably wouldn't do.

What you have is a condition called leporiphilia. There is no cure.

Come down here. We have all the hares anyone could possibly want. Jackrabbits abound!

And in your spare time, watch Bugs Bunny cartoons. After all, Bugs is a hare, not a rabbit.

I think having a rabbit of my own might solve my problem. But then I'd just take pictures of it all day.
