I was in a bar last night with some workmates, I had my camera along with me because you never know (http://www.mrwild.co.nz/PhotoGallery/2005/Tony_M_Farewell/slides/_MG_7650.html) when you're going to get a good shot (that one's not from last night). I was using the 20D@ISO3200 and F1.4. I took a photo of a woman and she said "it didn't work, the flash didn't go off"! Seems people don't know if you have a good camera and a rather wide lens you don't need a flash in low light!

Hehe. Yupyup. These two friends said the exact same thing when I shot them :)

Nifty Fifty @ f/1.8, ISO3200.... handheld at 1/8th of a second!

That's impressive for hand held at 1/8th!

Yeah, I couldn't believe it came out sharp myself. Well, sharp for 1/8th of a second ;)

I'm not surprised that it's so sharp. KevC is still young, has a headful of functioning brain cells, and he has steady hands.

Let's start a fan club, you can be the president, i'll be the secetary! :p ;)

A 1.8 lens, and cameras that are happy at ISO 1600. It's a beautiful thing. My 420 really doesn't get too much use.

When I bounced the flash I got a much sharper shot with more DOF, but it lost the mood of the bar.
