This is a really cheesy HDR, but it dramatically improved my backyard. My wife liked it. The rainbarrel was really orange, so I had to outline it and desaturate it by 30% to get it back to a more realistic color.
Enjoy. And, as always, feel free to critisize, ridicule, edit, throw up, etc.

This isn't bad at all - except for the bent pole on the left. Is that bent in real life?
But this hangs between real and surreal, and doesn't seem to have a home. Back off a bit and you should have a very nice reality version. A bit stronger on the sliders and you should have an interesting surreal version. But having it be in the middle ground doesn't work for me.

No, the pole isn't bent. Must be lens distortion.
This isn't a serious work, so I'm going to just leave it the way it is and forget about it.
I haven't had a decent sky yesterday or today, so I haven't been able to do any really good HDR.
But tonight I think I'm going to try some nighttime stuff.

Good luck. I'm still fighting to see if I can get Photomatix to do a decent job on some of my old night HDRs. They came out OK using CS3 Merge-to-HDR, but a bit flat, so I'm hoping that PM can do something more interesting. If not, it's time to try some other HDR programs...

Yeah, you're right. I didnt' think of that.
Of course, I didn't take much time to compose either. It's a bad shot.
