Took some pictures of my cousin. Let me know what you think. I just chose a few of the many. I can already see a few things wrong, but let me know what you think. What's good? what's bad?

i thought it was just weddings and other family events. maybe this falls in that gray area. i have been known to be wrong on a daily basis so who knows!

In numbers 1,3,4, and 7 I can't even really tell that she's pregnant. And in number 7 it makes me think she's squatting to pee. :wink:

If I had to pick my favorite it would be number 6. However I would crop out the hair on her head that is sticking up, and I would work on toning down the blown out buildings behind her.

Numbers 5 and 8 are also nice, but there's something about the angle in number 6 that I love the most.

All in all, good job.

This is what I thought, too. I guess the issue is we're not sure of the point. Are they suppossed to be pregnancy photos? Just general portraits? Technically, I think they're all very nice; my only nit being the branch that's just a little too much in her face in #3. Mostly, though, these pictures don't know what they want to be or what story to tell.

Thanks for the comments. I'll keep these in mind next time. I guess basically, I've been trying to follow through her pregnancy. I did a 5 month shoot and 7 months shoot. This is the 7 months. I start out doing pregnancy portraits, but then sometimes I just start taking pictures of her in positions where she doesn't look pregnant.
Didn't notice the hair on top of number 6 till now. Thanks!!

My thoughts exactly for the first group of shots... It seems that you are almost trying to hide her pregnancy...

But I agree with Thierry too... This second set is so much better. Really nice maternity shots. I wish there was a little more separation from the bg in 10, but I love 11. The silhouette shot is just about perfect. Thanks for sharing. Hope the delivery goes well!

I know these are way late but my cousin had her baby who is now 6 months. She is such a gorgeous little thing!
