hello all, hope this is the right section, if not please move to right section

i am trying to make a mount for my car. this is for a t1i. i think the best way is to mount it on a rear strut bar which i have included pictures of. i also included a drawing of how i would want it to be. i am wanting to know exactly which component i need to get to make this work.

things i am needing is:
-height adjustable
-can go left and right

thanks for the help

I have a headrest bracket that I use for the 5DII. it's made for car LCD monitor.

this (http://cgi.ebay.com/CruiseCam-In-Car-Headrest-Camera-Mount-NIB-Easy-To-Use_W0QQitemZ380143412788QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_Def aultDomain_0?hash=item5882502634&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14)is an alternative.

where do you want this whole contraption to be mounted?
