I hate having time to buy lenses and not to try them as I wish. Anyway, tonight another member joined the family. Being on a budget, it's the Tamron 90 mm 2,8 Di Macro.

After reading all the good things about it on this forum, and being the difference here of 249 EU with the 100 canon... here it is.

Both picture taken really on the fly, with only the light of the window, just to check that everything was working, so nothing special. Thanks to my wife for borrowing me a Looney Tunes eye (we are both exhausted it has been a loooong day) :D

Maybe, but it could just be the narrow DOF.

no the stoner red blood vessels in the eyes look crystal to me. I love my tamron 90mmsp congrats.

After having played a little bit with it (will post some pics later) I can only say one word: great ! I am sure that the Canon will perform even better, but still it seems to me a great lens. Must just second all of you that have already taken this position :D

Now, If I only can somewhere get the funds for a nice, really long lens (possibly L) I'll be perfectly happy with my setup...

good shots.
Focus is a little to the left in the 2nd one... use manual focus, and pay very close attention to the Iris.

I think those blood vessels are soft and would pop with USM applied.
