It's me again - the new guy. And I'm searching for a bag for my D60. I resisted the sales pitch of the 42nd Street Photo guys and trust the experience of this group.

-most recommended online retailer
-most flexibility
-most options for the $

I'm interested in what other D60 users are using wtih great success.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I use two camera bags made by Lowepro:
1. Topload Zoom Pro AW - for carrying the camera ready for shooting.
2. Nova 5 - for storing and transporting other lenses and accessories.

Both bags are good and are relatively not expensive. The Topload Zoom Pro AW is big enough to house a D60 with a grip and a 70-200 2.8 L lens if necessary. Rearranging the gear between two bags allows me to optimize the weight I have to carry on a given day. I never have to use everything I own at the same time.

There are other options to consider, e.g.: S&F Toploader 75 AW or larger bags than the Nova 5, depending on your current and future needs. You will find all specifications at http://www.lowepro.com/

Regards,

Thomas

I use the Lowepro bag as well, I find it quite nice to carry the D60 with grip and my 100-400 zoom mounted and ready. I use a tamarac backpack style mag model ??? for carrying the camera, and multiple lens, lunch etc...for when I need to carry my gear further..

If you arrange the Lowepro zoom bag right, you can carry an extra lens, and a flash, along with the camera w/ a big zoom attached.

I sometimes carry my 24-85 lens in the outer pounch, I have added an extra padding piece from another bag in the front pocket to pad the lens when I carry it there.

It had adequate room for extra battery and flash cards too, but I carry my flash cards in a lowepro cf pouch I picked up at Best Buy..($7)

Warning- be careful that nothing rides against your preview screen or it will get scratched..I am going to put a screen protector on mine to make sure a strap or something doesn't accidentally ruin the plastic...

Amazing; I use the same bag (LowePro Topload Zoom AW Pro) when using the same camera setup (D60, BG-ED3 grip, 70-200 2.8 ). The camera fits just right in that bag. My newly acquired eyepiece extender makes it a tiny bit tighter, but I think it's still a fine solution. :)

I use this one but it may be too big for many.

Take a look at the Tamrac 757 before you make up your mind. I have been very happy with mine.
