Hi I recently shot some images for someone who does latex clothing (see glamour forum) for images. The designer promised the models, who all worked TFP, a CD of the images. Since I am a newbie I was wondering how this is normally done. I intend to have a clause in their model release that states they may use the images in thier portfolios or websites but not resell them. Normally should I refuse to give away the CD and only give them the amount of prints I agree on? Is there a legal useage form somewhere I can copy and edit. I seem to be getting alot of response from these people and may have more bookings coming up soon. I was also informed some major magazines might want to use the images. It seems to me as though they would need to pay me for that.

Thanks ruby

Have the designer pay you for the CDs that they promised to the models and make sure you put your name on the images. Nothing will stop people from using your work without compensating you if they are determined and have access. So just make it a little difficult, accept that there are some scumbags in the world, and learn from your experience. If you haven't done this before, it is worth your while even if some big Mag publishes your image and doesn't give you credit or money because you will see how it works and have lots of new questions. The alternative is to make sure no one can steal your work by keeping it totally to yourself until the only pictures you are taking are of yourself!
