This little downy woodpecker has taken over our birdfeeder. He doesn't even look up when I open the door, take pictures, or walk past the tree (all less than 15 feet / 5 meters away.)

I think the other birds are getting a little put out with him. Any ideas for a caption?

Nice capture tupe! I can't help it when looking at the titmouse's face and the cardinal's. This great picture does deserve a good caption, but when it comes to that, i scratch my head most of the time. :o
How about "To Santa: 2nd feeder from the beloved owner. Signed: titmouse & cardinal" :D

Need to finish this before the squirrels turn up...:) When I came home today I saw one of those hairy rodents scrambling away over my roof.

How about "To Santa: 2nd feeder from the beloved owner. Signed: titmouse & cardinal" :DThanks, CFC. How altruistic of them!

Love the pic.. they are so sweet.. as always the titmouse takes the cake! :)
And as always.. the Woodpecker just lucks a little "not quite right"... seems the titmouse and Cardinal share my own theory regarding Woodpeckers and there addled minds.. they are keeping a healthy distance :)

LOL! That looks like a great opportunity to get the other birds while they're waiting!Yep - I wish my focus had been on the titmouse in that frame - it's one of the best shots I have of them. If they would just be still, or if I had better reflexes, I might catch more of those Kodak moments. (Should I call them that here?)
