Town chamber asked that we take a picture of the towns new sign so my hubby/partner went out and took 3,434 pictures! :confused:

WARNING: Video is a time lapse of clouds over a stupid sign! Video is a mind numbing two minutes long! No award winning content here! We did NOT sell video to town chamber! However, they have received a single image of said sign. Be assured, image was NOT taken from time lapse material. Enter at your own risk! Thank you...

I am chilled. The "WTF" was in general to all the negativity over a stupid time lapse of clouds over a sign. Seemed like the thing to do at the time after noticing the clouds. No biggy...

On Topic: Eh, it's cool but boring. But then it is only a sign. I think that the composition is what makes it boring. I was irritated the whole way through by not being able to see more of the sky/sign.

Off Topic: I don't think you have an attitude problem, I just think you need to learn to take certain types of folks with a grain of salt. Especially when they are blatantly trying to get a rise out of you, or in this case, just being a d*ck.

Seriously some folks can't feel good about themselves unless they tear someone else down. You normally see this from folks that suck at said thing themselves.

No you were trying to drive the point home that she "was inspired" by the other gentleman's work aka that she copied it. Yes she copied the music for her time lapse, she freely admits that. You just drove that point on home in a snarky manner..which probably explains how you knew I was talking about you and why you are being so defensive now. Did you want cool points for "outing" her? Or did you just want to expose her for copying it because you felt it was wrong.

Constructive criticism is one thing, being a penis for the sake of making someone feel bad is quite another. Don't kid a kidder, your tone wreaked of sarcasm/condescension and snarkyness (yes I made that word up!). So much so that guy#2 there laughed about it. "I felt the inspiration in your work.." Come on...really?

Point here is, if you are going to try and put someone in their place, don't be a smartass about it and then tell them that THEY are the one with the attitude problem. Oh and you damn sure don't make fun of or rake on someone for sharing their work. Neither are tolerated on this forum and I/We will thank you for securing that BS at the door. :)

I concede the point that the OP needs to learn to shake this kind of criticism off, especially when your tribute to the original work is waaaaaaay different and on less of a grand scale. I wouldn't say she has an attitude, but I wouldn't say she handled it well either.

Amazing how you know me so well that you can read into my "text" and know how I feel, which is far from defensive. I'm one of two people who actually made a comment about the video, how hard is it for me to assume you were talking to one or both of us? It doesn't take a genius to figure that out. The only one who is defensive is the OP, and I wonder why?

I don't want any points thanks, not my intentions. I'll just share the link with Tom who did the original one and see if he's defensive or feels it was wrong. I'm sure he'd love to be flattered by the work.

Again, I wasn't being a smart ass sorry you took it that way. Try to not be so judgemental, it will make your experiences here far better. Remember the grain of salt advice...use it. The internet is what it is, if you share work or links be ready to take the good with the bad. Its the nature of the beast. I posted some links to my pictures and had some rough words, but did I blow up at them, nope, it is what it is...I never said a bad word however, you've made me out to sound like I ripped her. I didn't in fact. It was just a very similar reminder of another video I saw on the same site. Thats all I was pointing out. For her to get defensive says another thing.

It is our very first time lapse and we WERE proud of it no matter how stupid it is. I thought this was a place to share your stuff with other peeps like yourself. I would have reacted totally different if I had ask for c&c, AND c&c had been constructive.

If camera had been pointed in ANY other direction, there would have been power lines all over it. Yes, it's boring. That's why I didn't charge admission! :) I guess I should post a disclaimer...

Do you want to do video in the future? OR was this just an experiement?
What camera did you use for the shots? What software did you use to put it all together? How did you do it? Let us know so we can help and make some suggestions...or try to help. I'm no expert for sure. It was not a bad first try.

I think the video is sweet, though careful with using copyrighted music, they may yank it down if you can't prove you have a license to use it or they could disable your account for a bit. That's what happens on youtube, anyway
