OFF TOPIC section

How about an Off Topic section where we can all talk about things not related to photography. It includes politics, current events and other non photography related.

Why?

Those types of sections never work out if religion and politics are allowed.

I just don't seeing that happening Ryan, especially with regards to politics, religion and other current events that have not relation to photography. There are other forums for that. This is, after a Photography Forum.

The POTN Lounge is fairly loose in the Photography related requirement but Politics, Religion and the like will never be allowed, even there. About the only place you can dip your toe in those areas is this thread and even then you must do it carefully, :lol:

It's a bad idea. I am a surfer and used to visit a few surfing forums, but they had NSR (not surf related) sections and everyone just tore each other apart over politics (and sometimes religion).

RCgroups: same thing.

It's understandable if you have a room that specifically prohibits R&P, so that people talk about recipes, grandkids, etc. But politics are the worst. It brings out the worst in almost everyone.
