Good condition, it's coming from a professional photographer (may indicate less abuse than avg. user).

He wants me to make an offer.

It is a sharp lense. I've heard stories that some of these lenses aren't as sharp as others (poor quality contorl), so I'm guranteed a sharp lense.

What do you guys think is a fair price?

The maxium i'd pay is 80% of the new value, and even for that i'd probably get the new one because of the 7 year warranty. Then again I just don't buy used lenses.

$280-$320 seems to be the going rate for mint 28-75's

right now they are going for 369.00 with a 30 dollar rebate. ( brand new)

So I would offer, between 280-300..
odd thing is ...
If you pay 280-300 why not just spend the extra 70 bucks, of which you will get back 30 for a brand new finger printless lens.

The one really important thing here is if this lens is coming from a professional whom the buyer trust, being assured of a good sharp copy used is better than taking a chance buying new.

Just curious as to why he's getting rid of such a great lens?
