View Full Version : Am I in Trouble? 1D MKII Rebate

I just purchased my last item I planned on using the rebates for and I'm going through and copying all the warrantee cards with the "Body Number" printed on them, and the 1D MKII has no warrantee card in the box. All four lenses I purchased does, but the 1D MKII has a "Registration Card" that none of the lenses do. However, this Registration Card has no body number printed on it. Does the 1D MKII come with this Registration Card in place of a "Warrantee" card?

I bought everything from B&H. Everything that came with all the equipment I bought was saved in a zip-lock bag, so I know I have NOT lost anything.

Can any of you 1D MKII owners tell me if I was supposed to get a "Warrantee Card" or is this Registration Card all you get with it?

OK, False alarm. I found the Warrantee card stuck inside the manual. Sorry.

I could take this opportunity to ask if these cards have to be filled out with name and address before they're copied and sent in for the rebate?

On the MKII box there should be a rectangular sticker with a line code and the serial number on it. Canon wants that sticker included with the items sent in for the rebate. My sticker did not want to come off the box so I cut it out and sent it still attached to the piece of box.

As I recall, Canon also wanted a copy of the B&H sales receipt, a copy of the customer warranty card which was in the box with the other literature and the rebate form itself filled out.

Good luck.

I finally found the warrantee card and everything else for the 1D MKII and four lenses. Altogether, it's a $585.00 rebate. Made sure I scanned a copy of everything and placed it into a 9X12 envelope and drove it to the post office and sent it registered mail. I also preregistered for the rebate on Canon's rebate site.

I really hated to cut holes in my boxes, but did it anyway.

Hopefully, in about 6 to 8 weeks, I should have my check.
