I am pretty new to this so don't be too hard on me.
I am using a Rebel XTi with a 430ex flash on a remote and a old borrowed flash as a fill flash

I am aware that my shadows are a little harsh in this picture and I am in the process of trying to buy a studio light kit.

This was not a planned shot, we just threw it together for fun.

Unless you have some free money to throw, Sincerely I have walked down this line of thinking that studio lighting would help the pictures automatically. I have the same 430 ex and have been advised to master it before investing in studio lighting and guess do not regret it at all. Still learning to use the 430 ex to its full potential both on camera or off camera.
