Recently on a trip to mainland China, I noticed that my photos were a bit hazier than normal. Does anyone else notice haze in their photos when traveling to countries with poorer air quality?

Just high humidity will do it to you at times as well.

Not to highjack this tread, but is there an easy way to deal with this in pp? I just found out that a lot my holiday photos have the same problem...

Start by cranking up the contrast and saturation.

mainland China has the worst air quality in the world... even worse than L.A.

On the other hand, dirty air can be wonderful for photography -- adding depth and filtering excessive blues. Here is an example shot in the Nagaur camel fair. The air was full of dust and smoke (and I am sure full of bacteria as well):

how about cpl? should help a bit with haze. don't know if it does the same with dirty air
