We couldn't resist this one today from the Humane Society. She was picked up as a stray very recently (at less than 3 months old) and spayed yesterday. Today we brought her home with some toys and were really upset to still find 3 ticks (live) on and in her ears. We de-ticked her and cleaned out her ears (no baths for 10 days due to surgery). She even got a little sponge bath. I think she cleaned up nicely. Only 17lbs at about 3 months, she needs to put on some weight! She's been eating and sleeping well all evening.

How could anyone abandon such a cute, sweet puppy? We're headed to the vet next week for the full physical exam.

Well, I can see what made you fall in love. That's a sweet face.

She'll perk up in no time at all.

What a doll!! I don't understand how people could lose such an adorable girl.

I was in the pound today speaking to one of the employees and she was saying so many dogs picked up as strays get destroyed or adopted out to new owners because the people who lost it dont think to call the pound.

On the plus side, on Tuesday May 17th I will be the new owner of a purebred year old Boxer, microchipped, and fixed...all because he was a stray and the owners never registered his microchip, so he ended up in the shelter :0(
