when i put the flash on the camera 5dm2 that is the flash goes of on its own at random times put new batteries in twice cant figure it out . when it happens i cant take another picture for abut 5 seconds

Clean the contacts on both the shoe and the flash. If it still happens find someone with gear that will let you try their flash on your camera, and your flash on their camera to deterimine which component is causing the error.
