Some great posts on here inspired me to try my hand at building a beauty dish. Here are a few test shots of my kids. Any feedback would be greatly appriciated.
1. Metal hanging lamp shade
2. Riveted brace for tripod mount
3. LightSphere GF / foil in lid top
4. 430 EX II w/Cactus trigger

I think I would swap the end of the GF lightsphere with a concave mirror...or attach one to the back of the end cap. I am not sure you are getting that much light across the surface of the dish.

Cool idea for sure.

I agree. The piece itself looks good, but the light doesn't seem like it came from a beauty dish.
