The second annual festival of hot air balloons that takes place just north of Los Angeles at Santa Paula. They fire up the balloons at night on Friday for the festival's opening. I thought it may provide interesting lighting so I decided to check it out.
1. Getting ready, demonstrating the fire that heats up the balloon.

The last image look like a postcard. I like it the best with all the vibrant colors. wish the foreground was less. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks all,
1Twist, as for tips, try to get wide opening shots that tells where you are and then move onto detail shots that show little interesting things about the place. Vary your angles, try not to shoot all from an eye level, get low or high for more impact.

Have fun at your balloon festival.
