I was really fortunate to get a picture of this bird in my yard yesterday, as it is not a sparrow that spends the summer here, usually it summers way up north lucky me to catch one on the way through, please enjoy C & C welcome

That's some special Sparrow! Nothing like the ones we see here. The feathers are nice and clear. I can see quite a lot of purple fringing and I have the same problem with my S1 especially when there is bright sky behind the birds.

I guess the purple fringing is common I thought it might have somthing to do with the tele- converter lens, oh well this is why I aspire to own a EOS 20 D

That's one beautiful sparrow. I haven't seen one in real life.
